Valve introduced the first set of nine cosmetics in the Sniper vs. I have postponed my newest attempt to play Crossworlds.Cosmetic items (previously known as hats and miscellaneous items ( miscs)) are items that can be equipped in any one of the three cosmetic slots in the loadout screen. But if you don't, a no loss game is going to be frustrating for you, most likely. Now, that doesn't really bother me much because I actually like grinding in games. The only combat I did before that was the Pluggens quest to move the main quest line along.īut, I also find trying for a no loss game to be very, very repetitive. ![]() I had to experiment a bit with different army combos to get past the Turtle with no losses as my 2nd combat. Ranged units are good too since they won't be damaged because the Turtle can't stomp with the one unit standing right in front of its face. It also helps to use units that don't trigger retaliation, even if that means skipping a turn for a unit so an attack, like lunge, can reset. If you can keep that unit alive with healing, you are good to go. I am sure it is harder on a higher difficulty.Īs for the Turtle, the trick to that is getting a unit to stand right in front of its face to keep it from doing its stomp attack. resurrect, or sacrifice your way back to the numbers you started with. Then it is just about staying away from the ogre until you can heal. I cast two Armageddon spells before the enemy could move. I made sure my army had the most fire resistance possible. In some battles, I had 10 or more stacks of thorns shielding my main army from the enemy.Īlso, the very last battle is pretty easy for a mage on normal with Armageddon and two castings per round. It takes longer, but it really isn't hard once you get the hang of it.ĭryads also summon thorns and those thorns can plant other thorns. Then, I would use phantom to keep them asleep until I slowly killed the units one by one. I used dryads anytime there were units that they could put to sleep. I tried multiple fights numerous times toward the end to avoid losses. Also, summoned units don't count as losses so you can use those as fodder. You need to experiment with the best units against different enemies and be prepared to drag out fights if you need to so you can either resurrect or sacrifice your way back from any losses. Although, in my last play through as a mage, I was very careful about losing units from about the middle of the game until the end. I haven't finished a no loss game to the end yet so I can't really answer about the end game area. copy that heading into the steam discussion page you want to share the screenshot in. at the top of this screenshot should be a heading something like: htt steamcommunity sharedfiles filedetails longnumber. then click on the screenshot you want to share. from USERNAME goto content and then screenshots. after you upload the screenshot, goto USERNAME on the line with STORE LIBRARY COMMUNITY USERNAME at the top of the steam menu. I saw you ask a question about steam screenshots in another thread I think, I don't know if you got the most complete answer, but to share your screenshots, hit F12 in game to take a screenshot, after you exit game, the steam menu has a View category at the top, goto View -> screenshots in the menu at the top, and then upload the screenshot. with over 500 combats available, 700 is not a high number for losses IMO. it would be awesome if you felt proud of your run if you'd share your statistics there. This thread of mine I linked has alot of screenshots to look at which should help answer your question of what no loss games look like. If not, then does anyone know how the casualties stat is determined? I am just wondering if a Zero Loss run is supposed to show Zero casualties in the final stats. ![]() Maybe the casualties stat is pre-resurrection? I also dismissed some troops during the game, but It does't seem that the dismissed troops equal my final casualties either. If so, is there any way to actually tell that you ended every combat without any losses, other than keeping track? So, that make me wonder, in a Zero Loss game, do your stats still reflect casualties? I dragged out most hard combats specifically so I could resurrect everyone. I wasn't trying for a Zero Loss game, but I am pretty sure I should have had less than 100 losses. However, I am pretty sure that I didn't lose that many because I was pretty good about resurrecting and there were very few combats where I lost any units at all. It says my casualties were over 700 units. Now, I am seeing my final stats for the first time. The first time I tried it, I ended the combat in one partial turn. The last battle was ridiculously easy on normal. So, I finally stuck with a play through long enough to finish the game as a Mage on normal difficulty.
